Douglas H. Dority
President & Chairman

Doug took the helm of America’s Agenda in 2004 to concentrate his attention on solving what he terms “one of the most serious domestic issues confronting our country.” Prior to America’s Agenda, Doug dedicated 43 years of his life to the United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW), its members, and the American labor movement.

Eric Dean
Secretary Treasurer

Eric began his career as an Ironworker and thereafter worked for a number of labor unions and trade associations, including as general president of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union. He brings over 30 years of experience to the America’s Agenda team.

Mark Blum
Executive Director

Mark is a recognized expert on innovative solutions to address the rising cost of healthcare. He has led America’s Agenda work since its founding in 2005. Mark currently serves on the State Health Benefits Value and Quality Task Force in New Jersey and previously worked as an economics professor as well as national director of organizing for the American Association of University Professors. He completed his graduate studies at the London School of Economics.

Dr. Mike Kapsa
Chief Economist

Mike is an accomplished policy director who has extensive experience in non-profit health care management. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy focused on labor economics at New School University in New York City.

Jessica Belford
Operations Manager

Jessica has been with America’s Agenda since 2013, first serving as managing director. Her previous roles focused on organization management. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of the District of Columbia.

Amanda Mishur
Director of Programs

Amanda brings more than 25 years of experience in operations management, stakeholder relations and business strategy. Prior to joining America’s Agenda, Amanda served as the Vice President of National Onboarding and Director of Vendor Relations and Supply Management at Activate Healthcare.

Rick Dade
Director of Field Operations

Rick joined America’s Agenda in 2020 and has translated his decades of experience in labor benefits, negotiations, mobilization, comprehensive organizing and contract campaigns into successful initiatives that are helping to redesign workers’ health care experience. His career in the labor movement has spanned more than 35 years, including the role of President and Principal Officer with Teamsters Local 730 and nearly 15 years at SEIU International. He has led numerous campaigns at the national, state & local levels.
